Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
LockingHatch wants every customer to be able to shop, research and order from our website, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have mobility, cognitive or other disabilities. We are committed to following the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we have done
- A “Skip to main content” link and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Every page and menu can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Descriptive text alternatives on product and project images.
- Readable color contrast and text that can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.
- Labeled form fields on checkout and contact forms, with clear error messages.
- Our on-site assistant, Hatch Helper, can be used by typing or by voice, and can read its answers aloud.
- Respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review the site as we add new pages and features. Some third-party services we rely on, such as our secure card payment page, are maintained by their providers; we choose partners that publish their own accessibility commitments.
